What is mental abuse?
Mental abuse is a recurring ill-treatment in order to dominate, control, offend, humiliate the person being exposed. Mental abuse is harmful to the mental and physical health of the victim and damages self-esteem seriously and in the long term.
Mental abuse is a form of mental and emotional torture. Some of the techniques are recognized from torture prisons around the world, such as switching between heat and violence, threats to harm the next of kin, several hours of interrogation with absurd accusations, presenting lies to manipulate certain answers and "confessions", outbursts of anger , derogatory notices. It is a form of brainwashing and never has anything to do with love.
Mental abuse is the first step to physical abuse. The mental abuse then continues in parallel with the physical abuse. There are also abusers who only abuse mentally.

Abuse is almost always escalated. The abuser rarely changes his behavior once he has started abusing.
